Wämöskolan is a central secondary school in Karlskrona municipality located in a pleasant area close to both the city and nature. At Wämöskolan, we work in teams and have a strong culture where we support and uplift each other. The International School of Karlskrona (ISK) is an authorized IB World School offering both PYP and MYP. The school caters to an international student body, and all instruction is conducted in English except for Swedish. The teaching is based on the IB's inquiry-based and concept-driven pedagogy, and ISK values collaboration, internationalism, and the holistic development of the student.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Spanish teacher who will work at both Wämöskolan and ISK. The role also includes support teaching in other subjects depending on your qualifications. At Wämöskolan, the instruction follows the Swedish curriculum for grades 7-9. At ISK, you will teach within MYP and work according to IB's pedagogical methods.

You love teaching and working with young people. You ignite students' curiosity and provide them with opportunities to develop both academically and as individuals. Both schools have a strong collegial collaboration, and you need to enjoy working in a team and contributing to the whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Spanish (grades 7-9 or equivalent).

We see that you are engaged and use varied methods that support students' development and achievement.

• You can lead and organize work to create a conducive learning environment and build trusting relationships with students, guiding them in an inspiring way.
• You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and see this as a natural part of your professional role. You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and can implement them in daily work.
• At ISK: willing to work according to IB's inquiry-based and concept-driven pedagogy (introduction offered).
